Guess who's back?
Sorry for the long wait, EDFR has been FAAAR from my main project for a while now, but I've returned to it to make sure that it works on modern versions. :)
This is a landmark update because it implements many features people have been asking for for a long time. Changes include:
- A config menu, with configurable dragon health and togglable music! (You can run
function endfight:open_config
to open it if you're an operator.) - New music system! (No more large files. We're still working on optimizing it though.)
- Fixed up attacks!
- Removed Herobrine.

Here we go, another pre-release. This time, it comes with good fixes for modern versions, instead of just a version bump. Should hopefully work on 1.21.3, and if it doesn't join our Discord server and contact me!
- Fixed issues caused by updates to the datapack format in 1.20.5, which meant Beta 2 didn't work at all lol
- Changed focus version to the most recent update. Sorry, but I can't support older versions atm. Backports of 5.0 may happen in the future (or you can do it yourself)
Sorry for the bricked Beta 2 lmao. I was not aware of the changes made to datapacks in 1.20.5 and so I thought it would still be working on the most recent release. Sorry!

This is a patch for Version 4 that fixes some really dumb stuff that was left in from early development. This includes giants, which were going to be spawned by the dragon. Unfortunately, they caused lag and were scrapped in the end. The code was still THERE, so if you were to spawn a giant wack stuff would happen so the leftover code has now been removed. Sorry for the lag, cupangafk. It has now been fixed!
What's New?
- Made lightning attack dimension specific.
- Removed unused Giant code. (Thanks again to cupangafk for making me aware of this issue!)
- Fixed lag issues because of the monument marker spawning over and over again. I seriously didn't know why it was doing this? But now it only checks and makes the marker on game load.
- Fixed an issue where miniboss would not be spawned on the monument in the middle of the end island due to the monument being spawned at a different height dependent on world seed. Fixed now 😉
- Added warning for the lightning and anvil attack, to let you know they are coming.
- Perch attack replaced with another fireball attack when dragon is Mad.
- Attempted to make dragon drop loot, I don't know if it worked.
