But now you can! With the NES Zapper addon for Gamingbarn's Guns. The recipes for the NES Zapper and the Double A Batteries it needs can be found in the vanilla recipe book present in the crafting table.
The NES Zapper is a fairly powerful gun, able to one-shot chickens (and other weak things too, but that's not as important). The range isn't great, but it's an 80s era toy, what did you expect.
Because this is an addon for Gamingbarn's Guns, this means that you need Gamingbarn's Guns for the datapack to work properly.
